PLOT:
Luke Garvey, a philanthropic entrepreneur, buys his uncle's Camp Pine Lake for sentimental reasons only to find himself as the new owner of a sinking business. Zoe McConnell, Luke's girlfriend from camp years ago, is the point person in her development firm assigned to convince Luke to sell his new land. Last month I was lucky enough to travel to New York city to take part in Broadway Bound International. This amazing opportunity was given to me by Lisa Stevens. Lisa is an award winning coregrapher who is from my hometown of Vancouver, Canada.
 
The whole experience was amazing! I was able to learn so much in such a short period of time from phenomenal people. The classes were intense but I wish I could have stayed for another few days.

About Broadway Bound International

Broadway Bound International is an inspiring, two-day, dance and theater convention, that gives students aged 8 to 21 years (beginner to pre-professional, boys and girls) exposure to the professional world of Broadway and Hip Hop.
Over the action-packed two days, the students learn choreography in Hip Hop, Contemporary, Broadway, Tap, Glee, Jazz, and House. The classes are taught by professional, working choreographers and performers who all have years of teaching under their belts. The goal is that the students learn relevant, current, and original choreography from hit shows such as WICKED, IN THE HEIGHTS, LEGALLY BLOND, THE GROOVALOOS, and TV shows such as SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE, and films such as Michael Jackson's 'THIS IS IT', SLUM DOG MILLIONAIRE, and STEP IT UP in a fun, motivational, inspiring atmosphere. The teachers are actually in these shows, or were, within the last two years.

I recently had the opportunity to travel to Los Angeles and was excited to take part of Grounglings Theatre & School performance workshop in comedy & imrpov. My instructor was great, her name is Phyllis Katz. I had an absolute blast at the school learning improv, making other people laugh has got to be one of the best feelings in the world.
Groundlings is famous for producing some great comic actors, their alumni include Will Ferrell, Kristen Wiig, Phil Hartman, Lisa Kudrow, Paul Reubens, Cheryl Hines, Jon Lovitz, Larraine Newman, Will Forte, Maya Rudolph, Michael McDonald, Kathy Griffin, Phil LaMarr, Cheri Oteri, Chris Kattan, Julia Sweeney, Chris Parnell, Ana Gasteyer and Rachael Harris. |
